VALERI LOBANOVSKY
Born in 1939. Began playing for the Children's Sport School team, then for
the Youth School of Football squad. Played for Dynamo Kyiv 1958-64,
for Chornomorets Odesa 1965-66, for Shakhtar Donetsk 1967-68. Scored 71 goals
in 258 matches in USSR Premier League.
1961 USSR Champion, 1966 Silver medalist, 1964 USSR Cup winner. Played in 2
matches for the USSR National Team and 7 matches for the Olympic Team;
scored 1 goal. Twice listed among 33 best USSR players.
As a head coach, he led the teams: Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk 1969-73 (he brought
the team to the Premier League in 1971), Dynamo Kyiv 1974-82, 1984-90 and
1997-present (eight-time USSR Champion, six-time USSR Cup winner, 1975 and 1986
European Cup Winner's Cup-winner, 1975 UEFA SuperCup-winner).
He led the National Team of the USSR in 1975-76, 1982-83 and 1986-90,
including 1982 (together with K. Beskov and N. Akhalkatsi), 1986 and 1990
World Cups. Under his guidance the USSR National Team took bronze at the
1976 Olympics and silver at 1988 European Championship. Total number of
matches: 77 (42 wins, 19 draws, 16 defeats). Also coached the United Arab
Emirates National Team (1990-93) and the National Team of Kuwait (1994-96, 3rd
place at the Asian Games).
The head coach of all Ukrainian National Teams since January 1998.
Best Ukrainian Coach of the Season in 1996, 1997.

Anatoli Puzach
Born in 1941. Played for Dynamo Kyiv 1965-73. Scored 49 goals in 215 matches
in the USSR Premier League. 1966, 1967, 1968 and 1971 USSR Champion. 1965,
1969, 1972 and 1973 silver medalist in the USSR Premier League. 1966 USSR Cup
winner.
Played in the 1970 World Cup. Scored 2 goals in 14 matches for the USSR
National Team.
Has been on the FC Dynamo Kyiv coaching staff since 1974
(with a hiatus in 1992-96).
Anatoli Demianenko
Born in 1959. Played for Dynamo Kyiv 1979-92 (with a break in 1991).
Scored 29 goals in 351 matches (including games for Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in
1978). Scored 1 goal in 14 Ukrainian Premier League matches.
1980, 1981, 1985, 1986 and 1990 USSR Champion. 1982 and 1988 silver medalist
in the USSR Premier League. 1982, 1985, 1987 and 1990 USSR Cup winner.
USSR Best Footballer of the 1985 Year.
1986 Cup Winner's Cup-winner. Played in 1982,1986, 1990 World Cups.
1988 European Championship silver medalist. Scored 6 goals in 80 official
matches for the USSR National Team.
