MacMAME is an incredibly diverse emulator, emulating almost every popular classic arcade game known--and many newer titles as well! By accepting contributions from outside developers, it has extended to support the emulation of over 2000 arcade titles. It even emulates Neo-Geo games! MacMAME is truly a masterpiece of arcade emulation.

This emulator is a port of the Multi-Arcade Machine Emulator, the most comprehensive arcade emulator ever designed. The source code is available on the author's web page; users with programming experience are encouraged to help write modules for their favorite games. Incredibly, MacMAME supports over two thousand arcade games.
Note that the 0.66.x series will be the last to support OS 9; MacMAME 0.67 and later will be OS X only.

AdvanceMAME is an unofficial MAME version with advanced video support for using TVs, Arcade Monitors and Fixed Frequencies Monitors as well as PC Monitors.
NOTE: You must be familiar with compiling source code to do anything useful with this. AdvanceMAME compiles on OS X.

CPSMAME is a variant of MacMAME which only supports Capcom Play System 1 and 2 titles. It is updated whenever a new CPS-2 ROM is dumped and decrypted, so it is more up-to-date than the official MacMAME.

MacPacMAME is another variant of MacMAME; this one only supports Pac-Man titles. Amazingly enough, there are at least 100 different arcade games which are variants or spinoffs of Pac-Man, and this emulator supports them all.
